Description
Andouille Pork Brats bring rich, smoky flavor to an easy family favorite.
Made with pork from our slow-growing pigs, these brats combine the deep flavor of old-fashioned pork with the savory, smoky character associated with Andouille sausage. And while the name Andouille may make you expect something spicy, ours have no noticeable heat at all.
That makes them incredibly versatile. Grill them and serve them like a traditional brat, or slice them into gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, soups, or other hearty dishes that could use a little extra smoky flavor.
Our pigs grow slowly, taking approximately 9–12 months to reach maturity. That slower growth gives them time to develop the marbling and rich pork flavor that sets our old-fashioned pork apart.
The result is a flavorful, smoky brat that’s interesting enough for the adventurous eater and mild enough for the person who wants absolutely nothing to do with spicy food.
Cooking Tip
Grill your Andouille Brats over medium heat, turning regularly, until they reach 160°F internally.
You can also slice them and add them to gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, soups, or casseroles for an easy boost of smoky, savory flavor.
