Stories From The Farm

I just lived one of the hardest days of my life as a farmer. I made fatal mistakes, and I knew better, but just didn’t think.
This year Chris and I did a crazy thing and took the kids on a surprise trip to Japan. We had been wanting them to experience how we travel.
It’s been four years since we brought home our baby chicks. Since then, we’ve added, lost, added some more, lost some more and then kept adding even more.
They’re here, they’re here!!! The Cows are here!! We’d like to welcome Gwen, Grace, Kris, Kurt, Kit, and 2009 (unfortunate name, I know) to Fluffy Butt Farms!!
Summer is over, not officially, but the kids are back in school, so it’s definitely coming to an end. Two weeks ago, I said, “I haven’t sweat enough, I’m not ready for the cool down”.
As you know, or maybe you don’t, in addition to having a farm, we also have a coffee addiction. Sometimes I get super shaky after drinking coffee which I attribute to my forgetting I’m no longer in my 20’s and a pot of coffee no longer sustains me all day.
January started the year off with a slap in the face, and I’m not even going to mention February. Since tomorrow is March 31st, as of this writing. I’m feeling safe to call March a success, so here we go!
In my last post, we had so much to look forward to in 2022! But we didn’t even get to ring in the new year before 2021 threw a punch.
Like any good fan of Christmas, and the holidays in general, I took time off from the blog to spend time being a total goober. It started with Halloween which for me is the start of the best time of the year!
I’ve mentioned a few times in my blog posts that we feed our dogs raw, meaning raw meat. Also called a whole prey, or Franken prey, diet.
… And on that farm he had a goat. No wait, that’s not a goat, that, that’s a pig. Wait, we have pigs now?
As you know, we’ve got goats! Last July 6th we brought home four Kiko does. Shortly after that we added three Nigerian Dwarfs, and right after that, Chris decided we needed to add some Purebred Kiko does to the herd.
